The Ingleton Wood team cycled 100 miles last weekend at the Prudential Rise London-Surrey in aid of WaterAid, our charity of the year 2016.
Our team headed down to the start line and were met with a great atmosphere and even better weather! The event was well organised and the race started on time and our team headed off.
Starting with a great cycle along the A12, there was plenty of room which was perfect for warming up and easing in gently to the 100 miles ahead. Richmond Park was fantastic to cycle through, with beautiful scenery and a welcome break from the grey city landscape.
There were 106 cyclists taking part in the event on behalf of WaterAid and we were all cheered on by locals and tourists alike from Leatherhead back to The Mall, particularly at the WaterAid cheer point at 90-mile mark in Wimbledon.
The Ingleton Wood team all completed the race in between 5 and 6 hours, well done to everyone that took part!
A huge thankyou to all our sponsors to date that have donated for this great cause. If you would still like to show your support in helping us reach our fundraising target, please visit our JustGiving page here.
