Since our new Cambridge office opened on the 8th June, our Structural Engineering team have hit the ground running getting to grips with project work including a structural inspection of the Liberty department store in London. The challenge of this project is to support a proposed roof top restaurant on the timber building built in the 1920’s from the timbers of two ships HMS Hindustan and HMS Impregnable. Historic buildings such as this iconic Art Deco building, will require delicate and sympathetic consideration before any introduction of new structure.
This week the team have been boosted by the arrivals of James Peacock, Senior Structural Engineer and Kevin Jones, Senior Structural Technician, who both bring considerable experience and expertise to the team.
Integration of the new Structural Engineering discipline is now well underway with Mike Miller, Head of Structural Engineering visiting all Ingleton Wood offices, meeting all staff, team leaders and Partners and presenting how Structural Engineering can help with current and future Ingleton Wood projects.
We will also be promoting the Structural Engineering service to the market as a whole and would welcome commissions for single, combined or our full multi-disciplinary service.
