Innovative Residential Design
Ingleton Wood has many years' experience in residential design, for both the private and affordable housing sectors. This covers the whole range of housing types, including new-build, refurbishment, assisted living and special needs. Clients include private developers, land owners and Housing Associations.
As a multi-disciplinary practice, we can provide an integrated team of planners, architects and environmental designers to create optimised and coordinated design solutions for our clients.
The scale of projects ranges from small rural schemes to urban infill and large-scale residential master-plans of over 500 units. We can also manage estate regeneration work. We have worked on both design-and-build and traditional procurement routes, as well as within partnering teams and under framework agreements.
The Practice also has wide experience of planned maintenance programmes and refurbishment, and can provide the full range of surveying, party wall and CDM coordination services.
We can design in a range of styles from traditional to contemporary to suit our Client's brief, but will always seek a modern interpretation within traditional values of space and materials. In discussion with the LPA we select a palette of materials to suit the local context and vernacular, such as brick, render or boarding, for creating variety and scale in elevations.
Sustainability is a fundamental part of our design ethos, and we carry out a preliminary Code for Sustainable Homes assessment for every scheme. Working with our environmental discipline, low-energy solutions and renewable energy options can be evaluated at an early stage and incorporated into the scheme development.
