Ingleton Wood have provided architectural, interior design, mechanical and electrical services design, structural engineering support and quantity surveying services to assist Westminster City Council in the extensive refurbishment of an existing 1930’s building in Pimlico, London. This building is being refurbished to house children’s nursery, PCT clinic, administration support, family centre accommodation and social services facilities. This building forms part of a co-location initiative bringing together children’s services of all types including those more sensitive in nature. |
The building has been extensively re-modelled internally to provide the purpose built environment for the proposed uses including the introduction of a new passenger lift and public access strategy. Externally a specifically designed play space compliments the nursery use on the ground floor and a package of external works to the structure has revitalised the building’s appearance. A full installation of new energy efficient services have been designed and installed. |
