We recently held the inaugural Cambridge office Autumn Reception for clients, contacts and contractors alike to celebrate our newest Ingleton Wood office now that it has established itself in the local area.
We were very pleased with such a great turnout for the event which was held at Downing College, within the centre of Cambridge, set amongst it’s beautiful grounds.
Guests enjoyed a selection of drinks and canapes with Mike Miller, the Director that looks after our Cambridge office saying a few words to thank all of our guests for attending the soiree and said the following regarding the ethos of the office itself as well as Ingleton Wood as a whole.
“I'm only able to run the office with the help of great staff, all of whom are here tonight so please take time to talk to them, and experience first-hand their enthusiasm and self-belief. I am genuinely delighted about the quality of our people and one of the best bunch of people I’ve ever worked in. Our office has a very dynamic and youthful atmosphere and I’m very happy to say that the office is thriving as a place for our staff to grow, enjoy their work and to solve problems. Our ethos is all about growth. Both at a personal level as well as a corporate level.”
Our Cambridge office has grown from strength to strength, from initially a team of just 2 to the current count of 14 staff since we opened the doors 18 months ago. The Cambridge office continues to grow and will shortly be relocating to newer larger offices in Histon.
Initially our Cambridge office was opened for the purpose of delivering the new discipline of Civil and Structural Engineering for Ingleton Wood, however it soon expanded to include Building Surveying and Building Services. This has facilitated the office becoming such a profitable success that we see today.
The Civil and Structural team has quickly established itself within Ingleton Wood working across the region on a multidisciplinary basis but also securing commissions in their own right working with schools, local developers and University colleges. The potential for further growth within this discipline is vast and is reflected in the ongoing new recruits to the team with the ultimate aim to set up additional Civil and Structural teams throughout the Practice.
We rounded off the evening by drawing the business card raffle and pleased to announce that Paul Hutchinson of RG Carter Cambridge was the lucky winner of a magnum of Veuve Clicquot Champagne and one of our fetching Ingleton Wood Golf Umbrellas!
Thank you to all guests that attended and we hope to see you at next year’s event.
