Ingleton Wood Martindales has many years’ experience in residential design, for both the private and affordable housing sectors. This covers the whole range of housing types, including new-build, refurbishment, assisted living and special needs. Clients include private developers, land owners and Housing Associations.
The scale of projects ranges from small rural schemes to urban infill and large-scale residential master-plans of over 600 units. We can also manage estate regeneration work. We have worked on both design-and-build and traditional procurement routes, as well as within partnering teams and under framework agreements. The team also has expertise in the private residential management sector and fully understand the challenges that face owners/managers of residential property portfolios.
We can design in a range of styles from traditional to contemporary to suit our Client’s brief but will always seek a modern interpretation within traditional values of space and materials. In discussion with the LPA we select a palette of materials to suit the local context and vernacular, such as brick, render or boarding, for creating variety and scale in elevations.
Sustainability is a fundamental part of our design ethos, and we can evaluate low-energy solutions and renewable energy options from an early stage to incorporate into the scheme development.
As part of the Ingleton Wood LLP group, we can provide a multi-disciplinary integrated team of planners, architects, engineers and environmental designers to create optimised and coordinated design solutions for our clients. The Practice also has wide experience of planned maintenance programmes and refurbishment, and can provide the full range of surveying, party wall and CDM services.
