Ingleton Wood were appointed by the Trust to undertake the building services design for this new endoscopy centre. This involved a complete refurbishment of the existing estates department in the basement area, and new extension at ground level to form this new facility.
The treatment rooms and first stage recovery areas are fully air conditioned by a heat recovery AHU. Space heating and comfort cooling to second stage recovery, consulting rooms, patient waiting and admin areas is provided by a VRV heat recovery system.
Medical gases including alarm panels are provided to the treatment and consulting rooms.
New energy efficient lighting is controlled by ceiling mounted presence detection sensors.
Other services included CCTV, Fire Alarm, LV, small power and intruder alarm systems.
Ingleton Wood had to carry out a fully invasive survey of the existing services to determine the extent of the strip out works and minimise the disruption to the estates department.
