The Practice was instructed to provide Planning and Architectural services on behalf of South Norfolk Council, in relation to the development of a vacant site, including a former care home, to provide up to 50 residential units, together with a commercial floor space. In addition, Ingleton Wood were instructed to prepare an Energy Statement to assess the options for renewable energy on the site.
The development presented a number of challenges due to the site’s topography, the prescence of a number of trees, and its location between existing residential development and the Council’s offices. As a result, whilst an outline application significant material was submitted to demonstrate how the scheme could be delivered in accordance with planning policy requirements.
Extensive public consultation was required to ensure that, where possible, the views of the local residents were considered and addressed prior to the submission of a planning application.
Pursuant to the grant of outline planning permission, Ingleton Wood were instructed to prepare and submit a reserved matters application.
