We have the following vacancies:
ITC Apprentice – Essex based
Our IT department requires additional resource to support the IT Manager in providing a range of IT support to our 180 employees across our 5 offices. Working with our IT Manager and external specialist companies the successful candidate will cover everything from day to day ‘helpdesk’ queries to software support, maintaining our servers and managing our cloud data storage.
Whilst we have an IT room at our Billericay office, this role will involve travelling to all the offices and liaising with technical and administrative staff and would ideally be based in Colchester. This is a 37.5 hour a week role although occasionally some out of hours work may be required. In-house training will be provided together with support to undertake a Degree Apprenticeship.
Building Surveyor/ Senior Surveyor (Professional Services): Billericay office
An experienced graduate Building Surveyor or Chartered Building Surveyor to work in a successful commercial team based in Billericay. To run the professional side of the team by undertaking dilapidations, party wall and other professional services on behalf of commercial clients.
The desire is to build the team to expand upon existing workloads and this role is to help develop this team under the Director.
Professionally and technically competent with a dynamic personality willing to work in a client facing role. Optional attribute is MRICS qualification
Part Time Accounts Assistant: Billericay office
Applications are invited for a part time accounts assistant to work in the accounts department based in Billericay. This is a new position to join a team consisting of the Director of Finance, Accounts/Payroll Assistant and Credit Controller. Main duties are to assist in processing invoices and credit card payments, subscriptions and daily transactions for the Practice. In addition, assist with collection of outstanding debts as directed and contribute to improving the process by investigating reasons for late payments as well as answering invoicing queries, entering information into Sage Line 50 Accounts system when requested, scanning and filing to also be carried out in a timely and accurate manner for the team. In addition, the successful candidate will assist with the administration of the Private Health Insurance and Health Cash Plans as well as assisting with ad-hoc analysis as required. Ideal candidates will have 5 years accounts office experience, with excellent written, verbal and numeracy skills with experience working in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and Sage Line 50. Part time hours to be agreed however the preference is for candidates to work a minimum of 5 hours each weekday.
Senior Quantity Surveyor Team Lead Role: Billericay office
For this new role at our Billericay office, we are seeking candidates who can demonstrate extensive experience in managing a team as well as preparing bills of quantities in both SMM7 and NRM format. Experience of working in the education and healthcare sector, is desirable.
Architectural Technologist/ Project Architect: Cambridge office
We require a high calibre architect or architectural technologist for current and pipeline workload, who can work independently as well as part of a team. In addition to proficiency in AutoCAD, the use of Revit and an understanding of BIM through all stages of a project programme is also an advantage, however training can be provided.
The position involves independently closing drawing packages with the potential to manage projects within a broad range of sectors, in particular within education, healthcare and residential.
Building Surveyor: Colchester office
Building Surveyor with a strong Project Management bias to work on a range of commissions. The individual would be required to undertake project-based Building Surveying services where they will need to be proficient in preparing or coordinating the preparation of drawings and specifications, and to undertake the contract administration role for a range of projects.
They will be expected to be able to demonstrate a range of essential Building Surveying / Project Management skills including high standards of verbal and written communication. The level of supervision they will be expected to work under will depend on experience and qualifications.
Projects will be across a range of sectors including all tiers of education, healthcare, public sector, emergency services, commercial, residential etc.
This would be an ideal role for a Graduate Building Surveyor with two years plus work experience who needs support in progressing their RICS APC accreditation.
Trainee Building Surveyor: Colchester office
Working as part of an enthusiastic and dynamic team, the Practice will train you to qualify as a Chartered Building Surveyor. The training will be assisted with attendance at Anglia Ruskin University to undertake an RICS accredited degree on a part time basis (University fees to be met by the Practice). In addition to this, the successful candidate will be provided with study expenses and three days study leave (per annum) and a competitive holiday and salary package.

Senior Planner/ Planner: Norwich office
To be part of the Planning team and to work on all planning related tasks, including administration of planning applications and appeals, undertaking feasibility studies including regeneration and master planning. The ideal candidate will have both public sector and private sector experience. The role involves taking ownership of projects to lead and deliver successful outcomes. MRTPI candidates and those wishing to obtain their professional status will be considered.
Building Services Engineers: Norwich office
We are currently looking for Mechanical and Electrical Design Engineers (Intermediate & Senior) with at least three years relevant design experience to join an existing MEP team in our Norwich Office.
We welcome applications from engineers of all levels to help with an expanding workload. Ideally applicants will be qualified to degree level within building services with a mechanical or electrical background and hold or working towards full membership of the CIBSE, IET or similar.
