Since March we have been operating in an entirely different way. Our teams like many others across the industry have been working from home, we’ve seen both advantages and disadvantages to this new normal. A principal driver in the vitality of the property and construction industry has been the ability of practices and their client’s to innovate. Clearly the Pandemic has put a stop to events such as public consultations; a key part of the planning process. In response, Ingleton Wood have developed a web based virtual consultation platform and as such can host, set-up and administer community and stakeholder engagement for any project. This allows those impacted by development to access proposals, interact with visualisations, share their comments and digest the details in their own time, and in the comfort of their own home.
This page illustrates what the virtual public consultation will look like and enables you to see what the audience will experience during a virtual public consultation. In this instance we have used an example project to allow you to hover over the boards or video link to open and review the example proposals. Here we have illustrated 4 boards but the platform has the ability for a maximum of 12 boards to be uploaded for more complex applications. It is advised that the boards are read in a clockwise direction to assist in explaining the proposed scheme. The comments box enables the user to share their thoughts on the proposed project. The questionnaire is changeable and once submitted the comments will be sent to a contact email address. A report will be provided once the public consultation period has closed along with analytics of how many users accessed the page.
The Information button explains what a public consultation is, how to use the page and who to contact if problems occur.
Our services include the page set up cost, administration during the event and post event analysis and reporting. If you would like a fee quotation or discuss our services further, please contact us.
The planning system seeks to strengthen community and stakeholder involvement and encourages people to participate in the development of their local surroundings. We understand that in order to try to reach agreement within communities people need to be involved from the early stages of the planning process.
This consultation is therefore the opportunity for the public and other stakeholders to provide their comments on the development proposals prior to the plans being formally submitted to the Local Planning Authority.
Please take this opportunity to review the development proposals and provide your thoughts and comments, so that these can be considered by the client and their design team prior to any formal submission.
As you hover over the boards you will be able to select them, the same applies to the video content. Once selected these will open and you will be able to review the design and project information that they contain.
It is advised that the boards are read in a clockwise direction to assist in explaining the design development behind the scheme and the current stage that the design team have progressed the proposals to.
Once you have had the opportunity to review the proposals, we would welcome your thoughts and comments on the scheme, which can be provided using the ‘comments’ link.
Please contact marketing@ingletonwood.co.uk referencing the development name and we will organise an alternative means for you to view the project information.
