| How long does an apprenticeship take to complete? |
An apprenticeship can take a minimum of 12 months to a maximum of 5 years depending on the level of apprenticeship and the industry sector within which you are training.
For example:
Level 4 - 24 months
Degree - Up to 5.5 years |

| What might a typical week be like as an apprentice? |
You will be working in house four days a week, doing the job and learning from your colleagues. One day a week you attend University or College for lectures during term time.
Some course providers have block releases which run on average between 1-2 weeks.

| What is off the job training? |
It is a statutory requirement for an apprentice to spend 20% of your paid time 'off-the-job'. Off-the-job training is delivered by subject experts and can include:
- teaching theory (e.g. classroom lessons, lectures and online learning)
- practical training (e.g. shadowing, mentoring, industry visits)
- learning support and time to write assignments

| Do I get Study Days? |
Study days are designed for all apprentices and sponsored students to use instead of annual leave if they require days off for revision, portfolio prep, End Point Assessment prep etc. Study days run in line with the academic year. |

| Does Ingleton Wood reimburse my travel costs to university or college? |
Yes. Where appropriate, we advise apprentices to purchase a 16-25 railcard and claim any travel to university through expenses. |
