Planning Applications and Appeals

Planning Applications

Our team of planning specialists work on a range of residential, retail, commercial, education, health and leisure projects, which vary in scale and complexity. Our experience covers all types of planning applications from householder and change of use applications, through to major mixed use schemes.

We prepare, submit and negotiate planning applications on behalf of clients to ensure the successful delivery of the optimum planning permission. Our services include:

  • Pre application advice, including the identification of documents required to validate an application
  • Negotiations with local planning authorities and key stakeholders
  • Preparation of planning and design and access statements
  • Submission of outline and full planning applications
  • Negotiating legal agreements, CIL and planning conditions

The strategy adopted in relation to a planning application is tailored to meet the individual requirements of each client.

Appeals

The planning team are experienced in preparing and submitting appeals.

The team provide advice on whether it is appropriate for a client to pursue a planning appeal, having regard to matters such as potential cost and time, and which type of appeal should be pursued, which can include:

  • Written representations
  • Informal hearings
  • Public inquiries
