Bursted Wood Primary School

Ingleton Wood were commissioned by the London Borough of Bexley to provide a multi-disciplinary service for a significant school extension at Bursted Wood Primary School.

This sensitive project required an Architecturally led design team including Mechanical/Electrical Design Services, Structural Engineering, Planning Consultancy, BREEAM, Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying and Principal Designer. These have all been provided by Ingleton Wood principally from our London office.

The project comprised nine additional classrooms, new school entrance, enlargement of the existing school hall and a range of significant environmental improvements around the site including a new artificial all-weather playing field, parking and landscaping.

Ingleton Wood have worked closely with our Local Authority client and Academy staff to ensure the design meets all expectations on this complex site. Detailed consultation and phasing of this major redevelopment works at the front of the school ensured day-to-day operation could be maintained with minimal interference to staff and pupils during term time.
