Planning and Development Appraisals

Our team of planning consultants prepare Planning and Development Appraisals to advise clients on the potential opportunities for development on a site, which enables informed decisions to be made about whether, and how, to proceed through the planning system.

The appraisals can relate to individual sites or portfolios and are used to inform: planning and development strategies, investment decisions, site disposals and asset management strategies. The appraisals are bespoke to each client and highlight the opportunity to add value through the planning process.

A Planning and Development Appraisal will give consideration to, amongst other things:

  • Site characteristics
  • Planning history
  • Existing and emerging planning policy
  • Tree Preservation Orders
  • Heritage assets i.e. listed buildings and conservation areas
  • Proposed developments within the locality
  • Section 106 and CIL requirements
