Ingleton Wood were appointed to provide a full multidisciplinary service to assist The Gilberd School in the refurbishment of their existing dining hall.
The existing space was over 25 years old and in need of modernisation and upgrade. The concept design included the installation of new acoustic ceiling panel units set at staggering heights to provide a contemporary feel to the hall whilst maintaining the stringent acoustic requirements of the area.
Works also included fully plastering all existing internal blockwork walls, new flooring installation, new structural glazed balustrade system, the introduction of a new energy efficient air source heat pump system, new air handling units with heat recovery and LED light fittings.
The appointed contractor worked tirelessly for Ingleton Wood and the Client to ensure the scheme was delivered successfully and to programme for the start of the new academic year, on occasion arranging for site personnel to work shift work through the night, ensuring works were carried out 24 hours per day.
