Ingleton Wood supported St Helena School with their successful application for for a Condition Improvement Fund (CIF) bid in order to replace their existing dilapidated 1930s science and food technology departments with a new modern, state of the art purpose built two-storey facility.
Ingleton Wood provided a multi-disciplinary service, including all architecture, civil and structural, mechanical and electrical design, full tender and procurement delivery, contract administration and CDM, from inception through to completion.
Ingleton Wood had to work closely with Colchester Archaeological Trust and Historic England to manage works to a scheduled monument, to ensure that exploratory excavation works and consultation to agree foundation designs did not disturb the archaeological heritage of the site.
Despite a challenging programme and budgetary constraints, the project was completed on time and within budget.
