Chislehurst and Sidcup Grammar School

Chislehurst and Sidcup Grammar School

Ingleton Wood LLP were engaged by Chislehurst and Sidcup Grammar School to complete a suite of surveys and assist with the preparation of ACMF funding applications. Since forming this partnership we have been successful in obtaining in excess of £7.2m of funding on behalf of the school.

This project commenced with the design of a new Sixth Form centre for the school and the successful receipt of funding through the ACMF route. The project was further expanded when London Borough of Bexley offered the reuse of the BMW Pavilion steel frame from the 2012 London Olympics. The building structure was much larger than originally designed and to make maximum use of this we worked alongside the London Borough to attain DGCF funding expanding a local Special Educational Needs school. The bid was successful and the design progressed for a shared use facility.

Ingleton Wood LLP were engaged to provide a full multi-disciplinary consultancy, including design, procurement, contract administration and project management through to completion. Through careful redesign, the frame was re-erected and supplemented to provide a suitable educational building that maintains the spirit of the Olympic Legacy. The project was unveiled at an official opening ceremony attended by London Mayor Boris Johnson MP.
