Waveney Road

Waveney Road

The development at Waveney Road, Hunstanton consists of 15 new affordable dwellings for Victory Housing Trust. The brief was to provide a mix of 2 and 3 bedroom houses and flats and a wheelchair bungalow.

A particular challenge were the levels across the site which were manipulated in order to achieve a workable, fully Lifetime Homes compliant scheme. Stepped garden terraces also allowed for maximum useable amenity space.

The material palette includes a variety of contemporary elevation treatments including grey and red multi stock brick, grey timber effect cladding and off- white render. The coastal location of the site is also exploited and the layout allows for West facing flat units to benefit from views towards the sea.

Youngs Homes were appointed as contractors and the project started on site with a 12 month contract construction period.
