Ingleton Wood were commissioned on this façade replacement project for one of our longstanding clients, due to the presence of combustible cladding and render to the building.

The project involved stripping back the original render, aluminium, and timber façade on the 9-storey building. Strengthening works were then carried out to the SFS frame, before completely replacing the external wall build-up with new non-combustible finishes, including insulation within the cavity and to the external render system. The timber decking on the existing external walkways were also replaced with an aluminium alternative.

Ingleton Wood were appointed as Employer’s Agent, Project Manager, Contract Administrator, and planning consultants, as well as providing architectural services up to RIBA Stage 2.  Ingleton Wood also assisted the client in obtaining funding for the works via the Building Safety Fund, this included regular meetings with the Greater London Authority and producing reports and evidence to support the funding application.

All works were undertaken in close consultation with the client and residents, who remained in occupation throughout the project.
