Ingleton Wood are proud to be taking part in the Lymphoma Association Great British Tea Break to raise money to support patients and families affected by Lymphoma. With our London, Colchester and Billericay having held their tea parties in March, it was our Norwich office’s turn on the 17th April at their new premises on the Norwich Business Park.
Joined by neighbouring companies, consultants, friends and family the office was brimming with people enjoying tea and homemade baked cakes by way on a donation, to not only raise money for the Lymphoma Association but to build awareness of such a harrowing disease and its effects on both the patients and their families.
The many homemade cakes were judged and the winning cake was auctioned and given to the highest bidder (a guest from Roche Building Surveyors), a raffle was hosted with prizes kindly donated from local companies such as The Norwich Theatre Royal, Cup Cakes for You, Zumba Lucia, Grosvenor Fish Bar, Coccolino’s and many more.
As well as baking until the early hours, the members of staff incorporated a ‘mufti day’ on the day and donated to the cause for the privilege.
Adding to the amazing amount raised by the other offices, our grand total is just over £1,800. We are delighted to able to make such a sizeable donation to Lymphoma Association and we hope during this process we have shown others how the Association can and does make a difference.
If you would still like to donate, you can do so via our Just Giving page www.justgiving.com/Ingleton-Wood1.
Further to the Tea Breaks, we have various sporting events we are taking part in over the summer months in aid of Lymphoma Association, the Bupa London 10k race taking place on 25th May and the Cambridgeshire Gran Fondo cycle race on 7th June.
A big thank you again to everyone involved to everyone that has participated in organising, attending, donating and supporting the events held to date.
