Further to our fundraising efforts to date, Monday 25th May saw a 14-strong Ingleton Wood running team entering the BUPA London 10k to raise money for charity of the year, Lymphoma Association.
The weather was perfect for running; sunny but not too hot with plenty of shade along a fabulous route amongst the buildings between Green Park and the Bank of England. The men’s race was won by Andy Vernon in 28:38, with Jo Pavey winning the women’s race in 32:56.
Ingleton Wood times were a little slower but no less impressive. Josh Thomas posted 44:25 making him the holder of the ‘fastest man at Ingleton Wood’ crown, with Kirstin Zuk hot on his heels at 47:37 for the women’s title.
Funds raised now stands at £3,070.00 with the Cambridgeshire Gran Fondo cycle race the next event on the 7th June. Huge thanks to all those that have already donated!
