Ingleton Wood was appointed to provide a complete service to remedy water ingress through a roof terrace, undertake remedial repairs and provide a 20 year guarantee for the installation.
Specific site difficulties lead to detailed consultation with roof materials suppliers to ensure that the objectives of the client could be achieved in a method which suited the location. The roof terrace was only accessible by lift, via occupied office space and was located 650 feet above ground level.
Detailed consultation and feasibilities studies were undertaken to agree the correct and best application. The product was unknown to the client and detailed justification was required to explain the works. The works involved overlaying the existing roof terrace with a cold, liquid applied system, providing secure anchors for client’s plant and restoring internal finishes.
The commission involved considerable discussions with the client, roof materials suppliers, Contractor and BT staff to ensure that a suitable finish could be provided to suit the use of the terrace and client objectives.
