Ingleton Wood were appointed by the Discovery Educational Trust (formerly Brentwood Academies Trust) to prepare a feasibility proposal to evaluate the space within Chase High School and review options for accommodating another form of entry. On the basis of our report, Southend Borough Council provided funding for a new teaching block and associated enabling works.
Ingleton Wood designed, tendered and managed construction of the three-storey teaching block comprising 14 classrooms with teaching walls incorporating interactive boards, offices, and ancillary accommodation. The building is constructed to the latest standards and building bulletins, providing access to all with a lift and accessible facilities throughout.
In addition to the main teaching block, areas of the existing school were upgraded and refurbished, such as the science rooms and reception. The car park was also extended and a new four tennis court all weather facility with external long jump tracks were included within the contract.
