Clacton Fire Station

Ingleton Wood was appointed to design and manage a maintenance and refurbishment project at one of the client’s ‘whole-time’ fire stations. The project included flat roofing works, internal refurbishment and remodelling.

A significant part of the project was to redesign and replace the curtain walling to the main elevation of the fire station. These works, in conjunction with the provision of a new accessible entrance and modern glazed entrance canopy, have resulted in a complete rejuvenation of the original dated facade.

All works were undertaken while the fire station remained fully operational. Ingleton Wood’s building surveyors are skilled in managing projects under these conditions and have completed numerous similar projects for this client. Ingleton Wood provided mechanical, electrical and CDM Coordinator services to complete the project team.
