Ingleton Wood were appointed as CDM Consultants for major works to an occupied block of flats, as part of an overall Design Team appointment.
Emanuel House was originally designed and constructed as an open plan office block in 1960 and was converted into 70 apartments over six floors in 1963.
The majority of the existing mechanical and electrical services within the building including drainage, water, ventilation etc were un-maintainable due to an inherent defect with the original conversion of the building and the majority of the services were inaccessible and concealed within the building fabric.
The works therefore comprised major services renewals and alterations and were carried out with tenants in occupation
