Ingleton Wood were commissioned to carry out the mechanical and electrical services design for the main boiler plantroom replacement works, lighting, small power and fire alarm systems. This work comprised the following:
- Surveying the existing plantrooms and services to assess client’s requirements.
- Design of new low NOx condensing boilers, suspended T5 IP65 rated luminaires and fire alarm system and planning and statutory requirements to meet current Building Regulations.
- Prepare drawings, contract, specification and comply with all CDM requirements.
Ingleton Wood also acted as contract administrator to lead on this project, working closely with the clients project manager and school stakeholders from inception through to completion.
The Victorian board school located in the LB Hackney is locally listed in a conservation area and this had to be considered when planning this project.
