Ingleton Wood have extensive knowledge of existing T and C type hangars and are familiar with design and maintenance guides to achieve compliant adaptation and conversion of these World War 2 structures. We have designed a number of full renovations of both types of hangars but have also undertaken the design for the maintenance and repair of these facilities including over cladding, roof replacements and hangar door replacement/repair. The design team a very familiar with these structures and their limitations and are able to inform Top Level Budget Holders (TLBHs), Project Sponsors, Property Managers and other stakeholders connected with these historical hangars and the project extents. This greatly supports the early project development and scoping of such facilities.
We have recently completed projects for T2 hangars at RAF Lakenheath, Croughton, and other UK MoD establishments. We are currently involved in the inspection and design response associated with two C type hangars at RAF Feltwell.
