Hangars and Storage Facilities, UK MoD and USAF

Ingleton Wood have extensive knowledge of aviation storage and maintenance facilities and have designed new structures and facilities to support various missions. Ranging from ground support facilities, corrosion control, aircraft maintenance and storage buildings.

The design team are familiar with various building typologies and understand the various criteria for planning and design of aircraft maintenance hangars, and support facilities. Our experience applies to all aircraft hangars including maintenance hangars and to other specialised hangar types. We are familiar with the additional studies required to identify unique requirements, functional areas or systems based on mission or aircraft.

The design team’s experience enables clarity of the operational intent of the facility design and can assist in understanding the facility requirements to ensure accurate space programmes and budgets are achievable. We are able to advise key stakeholders and personnel with essential, minimum requirements for the design and construction of aircraft maintenance / storage hangars.

Our services have included, project management, architecture, civil and structural engineering, mechanical, electrical, and public health engineering, cost management, risk management, fire engineering, feasibility studies, options development, environmental, sustainability and DREAM assessments.
