Hospital Sterilisation and Disinfection Unit (HSDU)

Through assessing various financial models, the best value for money for the upgrade of the existing HSDU unit was acheived, which dated back to the first construction of the Hospital in the 1970s.  The works were broken down into two major and several minor phases, which allowed the unit to maintain operation throughout the works.
The main features of the upgrade are the provision of a fully air-conditioned 'clean' Inspection, Assembly and Packing (IAP) room with step-down air-handling regime, new washers and sterilisers, a sophisticated trolley wash area, offices and goods handling areas.
