College Bar and Buttery, Homerton College

The existing college bar and buttery (dining area) was enlarged and completely upgraded. This project involved re-fitting the existing kitchens and provision of a new cellar to serve the bar.

The buttery is formed of two distinct character spaces. As one enters the room the space has a slightly dark, intimate feel with leather sofas, carpets and dark, strong wall colours.

Beyond this area the space opens out into a very light, airy space with a double-glazed pitched roof over the serving area and bar. Here the finishes are more modern with studded rubber flooring, painted plywood chairs and subtle lighting.
