Ingleton Wood were appointed as project architects for the John Peel Centre for Creative Arts.
John Peel, the former Radio 1 DJ, lived locally to Stowmarket and was involved in a wide variety of local community projects. John’s widow, Sheila Ravenscroft is patron of the JPCCA board which has taken a lease on the old Corn Exchange in the town. The board are now seeking funding to convert the building into an arts centre offering facilities for all performing and visual arts.
Our team worked with Matt Loosley, an architectural student and winner of a competition run jointly by the board and the RIBA to develop an overall concept design for the scheme.
