As part of the redesign of Leicester Square Ingleton Wood designed, specified and managed the complete renewal of the toilets located beneath the central square. Ingleton Wood provided all architectural and mechanical and electrical design services.
The toilets were required to be open 24 hours a day. This meant that they had to be robust enough to cope with a large amount of footfall, as well as potential vandalism, whilst still having a high quality finish appropriate for a major tourist destination.
Ingleton Wood worked in partnership with the project team undertaking the Leicester Square redevelopment to ensure that there was a co-ordinated and integrated approach between the two schemes.
