RAF Brize Norton is essentially the ‘gateway to operations’ but has a main gate that has been unable to cope with the volume of traffic now entering and exiting the base.
Ingleton Wood have been engaged to undertake a high-level review of the entry and exit of the base and how this could be improved for the safety of pedestrians, cycles and motor vehicles, while improving the security, access and exit from the base particularly during periods of high demand.
This study has been undertaken in order to identify the issues and concerns experienced by personnel and suggest three high level options to understand the minimum, optimal and maximum works to the existing gate while also considering the wider site and how it could be utilised to manage the issues that arise during this study.
Our services have included, project management, architecture, security engineering, civil engineering and cost management.
