Ingleton Wood has helped raise vital funds for those living with a progressive or terminal illness after hosting our annual charity football tournament in support of St Elizabeth Hospice in Ipswich.
Ten teams from various local businesses competed in the tournament, which was held at Rushmere Sports Club and raised a total of £1,000.
Among those taking part were roof manufacturer Bauder, construction firm Beardwell, building contractors Rose Builders, recruitment specialists Conrad Consulting, RG Carter builders, accountants Ensors, financial services firm Scrutton Bland as well as law firm Prettys.
In the final, Beardwell construction tied 1-1 with Ensors beating them on penalties to lift the trophy for the first time.
David Cresswell, Partner, said: “We are delighted to have hosted another successful football tournament for St Elizabeth Hospice which provides such vital support for people and their families when they need it most. It is an incredibly worthwhile cause and we are only too happy to do what we can to help.
“The football tournament is a very popular event among our staff and clients. I’d like to thank everyone who volunteered their time to help organise the event and who took part, it is great to see that everyone enjoyed themselves.”
Jazmin Peach, corporate fundraiser at St Elizabeth Hospice, said: “We’re extremely grateful to Ingleton Wood for their support, not only through this tournament but for their ongoing fundraising for us over the last four years.
“It was a brilliant fun filled event and it’s great knowing that the money raised will remain in the area to help local people needing palliative and end of life care.”
