New Director of Architecture appointed at Ingleton Wood Martindales Monday, 8th April 2019

We are very happy to announce the appointment of a new Director of Architecture at our Cambridge office.

Peter Griffiths joins the Practice to work alongside the existing senior team in developing and expanding the studio at Ingleton Wood Martindales.

For the past four years, Peter has worked as a Director at Scott Brownrigg, leading the residential and mixed-use sector in the firm’s Covent Garden head office. He has worked across every stage of the design process and in a number of award-winning Practices.

Mike Miller, Director at our Cambridge office, said Peter was a welcome addition to the team.

“We’re delighted to have Peter on board,” Mike said: “He brings unrivalled experience and expertise and has a solid track record. This is an exciting appointment to strengthen our senior architectural team.

“His appointment signals our continued commitment to strengthening our team and create a strong and robust Practice, ensuring we provide the very best service to our clients.”

Peter, an alumni of the Welsh School of Architecture, has worked on a range of building types including conservation projects, faith buildings, education, large-scale retail, headquarter offices and residential.

Peter said: “I’m really happy to be joining the Ingleton Wood Martindales team, and to be part of the future and growth of the Practice. This company has a great background and profile both in Cambridge and the wider UK.

“I have lived in Cambridge for a few years now, choosing the city as the place to bring up my young family. I believe you need to be close to, and immersed in the communities you are servicing to provide the best possible outcomes.

“I believe in a balanced work approach – aiming for inclusive working, excellent design and technical competence, all supported by an enjoyable, social environment and a commitment to learning and development.

“Both in architecture and design, I love place-making and placing people at the heart of design decisions, and I’m looking forward to bringing this to my new role.

“There are a number of exciting projects currently on the drawing board, but we’re always keen to explore new opportunities and to help clients to realise their building design aspirations.”
