Ingleton Wood celebrates International Women’s Day Monday, 8th March 2021

We’re proud to support Women in the industry and enable them to succeed. Please read some of the achievements of females within Ingleton Wood.

“The thing I’m most proud of at Ingleton Wood is the amount and quality of affordable and social housing we’ve been involved in over the years. Everyone should have a safe place to live. Growing up in a council house myself, promoting the need for social housing is something really close to my heart, so being able to help create these safe spaces for people is definitely my biggest achievement.”

Nicol Perryman, Associate Planner

“I am most proud of the teams I’ve created at Ingleton Wood – Colchester M&E was 3 people when I joined and the teams in Norwich, Cambridge and Oxford didn’t even exist!”.

Laura Mansel-Thomas, Partner (M&E)

“I was very pleased to be part of our London Office move & Agile working project, it was very interesting, and I learned a lot about how work environments can motivate people and change the dynamics of an office.”

Esther Reid, London Office manager

“If someone told me when I was in my late teens, that in 10 years I would be responsible for part of the design and construction process for some of the most well-known health care providers, I would not have believed them! But here I am, and nearly 4 years with Ingleton Wood, feeling proud to have participated in creating some fantastic healthcare schemes.”.

Faye Harniman, Architectural Assistant

“I am proud of how the Cambridge office has developed and of becoming a Partner at Ingleton Wood.”

Anni Folan White, Partner (M&E).

“The highlight of my career is seeing St Giles Park in construction (350 homes) and hearing so many of the positive responses from members of the local community”.

Kirstin Zuk, Architet

“I was employed on a temporary contract for a 6-week sickness leave cover and I am proud to say that with application, dedication and loyalty, I am still here 19 years later.”

Catharine Wognum, Billericay, Office Manager

“My greatest achievement is finally finishing my part time studies and becoming a fully qualified architect last month.”

Lily Green, recently qualified Architect

“Proud of being part of the team responsible for the interior design of IWs new offices delivering a brand-new office space that creates a greater sense of wellbeing within a working environment.”

Mandy Cheung, Interior Designer

“My own Personal Achievement at work would be when I was tasked with the Project of calling every member of staff back in August last year to a) check in on them to ensure that their Wellbeing was ok and b) doing a survey to see how they felt about working from home/how they will feel with regard to going back to the office. This really helped me engage with the Company rather than just my own office.”

Emily Dakin, HR assistant.

“I would say it has been an excellent year for personal growth for myself, juggling the part time apprenticeship and beginning to take more leadership in the MoD jobs has been a real learning curve, and with even less women in that sector than others, at times can be quite daunting. It’s been really good to have the support of my team to help me with this role, and I am really enjoying it.”

Priyanka Shah, Architectural Assistant

“Becoming an associate leading a team which is focused on Interior Design and the refurbishment of existing buildings. Which enables us to regenerate and reuse existing buildings, which I’m passionate about. Also being shortlisted for a Mixology award for the London office design”.

Nicole Flynn, Associate Architect and Interior Designer.

‘I am proud of being Ingleton Wood’s first female Building Surveying Associate. I am honoured to add another voice to wider practice issues which in turn broadens and diversifies our approach to identifying and solving problems. Women are currently under-represented at senior levels in the profession. I hope that our generation of female surveyors will inspire even more in the future generation and thank you to those who went before.’

Alice Ferrari, Associate Building Surveyor
