We were proud to provide full multi-disciplinary services to help deliver a new state-of-the-art dental suite for people with special needs at Cheshunt Community Hospital.
A former minor surgery wing was refurbished and purpose-designed to create the modern dental suite to treat residents who have special needs that range from physical and learning disabilities to medical conditions.
The new clinic comprises three modern surgery areas with modern equipment to help improve and expand healthcare provision in Hertfordshire.
The dental suite benefits from additional accessibility with wheelchair and step free access, as well as larger dental chairs designed to allow easier access for those with special needs.
A new Sensory Room that helps patients to relax features a film wall with HD projection, bubble tubes, and tranquil lighting and sound systems.
Hertfordshire Special Care Dental Service is an award-winning community dental service which is part of Hertfordshire Community Trust (HCT). Cheshunt Community Hospital, based in King Arthur Court, is managed by HCT.
