Ingleton Wood is investing in new offices based in Nottingham that will help the Practice expand its national footprint into the Midlands. The new office will have an initial focus on the public sector and secure infrastructure sectors.
The Nottingham office will form the seventh office for the Practice, bolstering its geographic reach from the East of England, South East and London.
Ingleton Wood has built a relationship based on trust with several public sector departments and contractors, both UK and US. The Practice’s experience in this sector has resulted in the design and delivery of a wide range of infrastructure projects including nationwide programmes of work, the development of new and emerging requirements, and the feasibility to full design of bespoke and secure facilities and infrastructure.
The ever-changing demands of the secure infrastructure sector means Ingleton Wood is continually developing to ensure client needs for expertise and resources are achieved.
As a result, we have appointed sector expert Ben Bettle to the position of Senior Associate to head up and develop the Practice’s multi-disciplinary services. He is bringing his own dedicated team of five secure infrastructure specialists to the new Nottingham office based at Sherwood Business Park.
Having previously worked at Nottingham-based architectural firm CBP Architects, Ben brings a wealth of experience in the public and secure infrastructure sectors.
Ben Bettle, Senior Associate said: “Ingleton Wood has developed a strong presence in the public sector and secure infrastructure sector and has a reputation for really taking care of its clients, so being offered the chance to join and help grow a company that shares the same values and goals as myself was too good to turn down.
“I look forward to bringing my experiences, knowledge and extensive contacts across northern England, Scotland and Wales to help strengthen our multi-disciplinary services and provide a more effective national offer at our modern Nottingham offices, where we look forward to meeting our clients in person to advance critical infrastructure projects.”
Ingleton Wood has significantly scaled up its presence in the secure infrastructure sector in recent years, driven by Darren Fowler, Partner and Architect; Tim Colman, Director Project Manager; and Kevin Laws, Senior Building Services Associate, at our Norwich office.
Bespoke sector services include masterplanning, modular design, new builds and refurbishment, and security enhancements.
Ben Bettle added: “Being able to provide multi-disciplinary services is becoming increasingly vital because more clients are striving towards net-zero sustainability goals and placing as much importance on them as meeting budgets and achieving operational outputs.
“To deliver this effectively, you need different knowledge bases and internal resources to support the multi-layered design process. This puts practices like Ingleton Wood in a very strong position because we don’t have to rely on stand-alone services or outsourcing.”
Darren Fowler, Partner and Architect said: “The opening of our Nottingham office space is a major milestone in Ingleton Wood’s expansion and an exciting step in our mission to deliver sustainable critical infrastructure and professional services for UK and US customers.
“We are experiencing increasing demand for our specialised services in the Midlands and further north, so this was the natural next step, allowing our clients to benefit from greater collaboration, innovation and cost-effective services from long-standing regional experts.”
The opening of the new Nottingham-based office means that Ingleton Wood is currently looking to expand its workforce in this location, with the recruitment of Architectural Technicians and Building Services Engineers.
David Cresswell, Managing Partner said: “This is an exciting time for Ingleton Wood as we embark on the next stage of our national expansion and strengthen our secure infrastructure services.
“Delivering excellence to our clients time after time is embedded in our DNA and we look forward to Ben and his specialist team enhancing our reputation across the Midlands and northern England.”
