Ingleton Wood welcomes Morwenna Slade; climate change, heritage & sustainability expert Monday, 17th June 2024

We are thrilled to welcome climate change, heritage and sustainability expert Morwenna Slade (MRICS IHBC MSc) to Ingleton Wood as Director of Climate Change, who will lead our pioneering Climate Adaptation team.

In this brand new role for our practice, Morwenna's comprehensive expertise significantly enhances our conservation capabilities and expands our offering across heritage, traditional, and listed projects.

Morwenna and Ingleton Wood already have a proven track record of successful collaboration originating from Morwenna’s previous position in Historic England's Technical Advice Department; including projects involving Blenheim Palace, Wells Cathedral, and Kensington Palace. We are thrilled to welcome Morwenna in-house, as she leads this new team in projects focusing on the adaptation and conservation of prestigious heritage sites.

Operating primarily from our Oxford office, Morwenna’s appointment further extends our regional support across the South West of England and throughout Wales. Most significantly, Morwenna's appointment brings a refreshed focus to our heritage-orientated capabilities, broadening our multidisciplinary services across heritage, traditional, and new build projects.

Sustainability is a core pillar of our organisation, and our progressive Climate Adaptation team is critical in ensuring we meet (and exceed!) our sustainability targets by 2030. Morwenna's exciting appointment represents another milestone in our ongoing commitment to our targets, and we are thrilled to welcome an industry-renowned sustainability expert to our practice.

Get to know Morwenna Slade

Morwenna has extensive and specialist experience in optimising the energy efficiency of traditional buildings and has held roles for The National Trust, the Churches Conservation Trust, and most recently Historic England.

Morwenna has developed and led a multidisciplinary team providing specialist services and strategic guidance on the technical aspects of care, repair, maintenance, and adaptation of historic built environments.

Welcoming Morwenna
