Ingleton Wood is proud to have been highly commended in the ‘Best Social Value Project Award’ category at this year’s Consultancy and Engineering Awards, hosted by the Association for Consultancy and Engineering (ACE).
This prestigious recognition highlights our unwavering commitment to driving meaningful change through our long-standing partnership with the Design Engineer Construct! (DEC) programme; an initiative dedicated to inspiring and equipping young people with the skills and knowledge to thrive in the built environment sector.
Although we didn’t secure the top prize this time, being shortlisted reaffirms the success of our DEC partnership in creating a positive social impact, transforming lives, and empowering communities.
The Consultancy and Engineering Awards shine a light on the excellence that underpins some of the UK’s most impactful projects. Working for businesses of all sizes, engineering consultants deliver amazing things every day, from groundbreaking innovations to vital infrastructure, sustainable communities, and environmental solutions that prepare us for the future.
By collaborating with schools, students, and educators, Ingleton Wood strives to nurture the next generation of architects, engineers, and construction professionals, placing an emphasis on inclusivity, sustainability, and real-world learning opportunities.
Stephanie Neill, Headteacher at Philip Morant School and College, commented:
“It is a real privilege for us to have Ingleton Wood as our partner in the Design Engineer Construct! (DEC) programme. Our students have the opportunity to create their designs and discuss their thinking and their outcomes with professionals in the field. There are so few opportunities for this direct link to industry for our students integrated into their curriculum and it is inspiring them into future careers in this area."

We extend our thanks to the Association for Consultancy and Engineering for this recognition, as well as to everyone involved in the DEC initiative – from educators to students and our own passionate team members who help make this programme a success.
Together, we’re helping build a brighter, more sustainable future for the industry and beyond.
