Ingleton Wood's London team proudly hosted a group of students from St Paul’s Way Trust through The Switch programme, a charity with a 30-year legacy of empowering young people in Tower Hamlets to reach their full potential.
Nicola Chadwick, Head of Programmes and Impact at The Switch, commented on this latest collaboration with Ingleton Wood;
“As part of a Work Experience activity week, Ingleton Wood generously hosted 18 students, offering them an invaluable insight into the sector and the world of work. They carefully assembled a team of volunteers with diverse experience and job roles, showcasing the wide range of career pathways within the industry.”
Ingleton Wood’s volunteers engaged with the students during a thought-provoking Q&A session, sharing real-world insights, offering valuable work experience, and showcasing potential career paths in surveying, design, MEP and structural engineering.
It was incredibly fulfilling to see their enthusiasm and curiosity as they explored the opportunities within the built environment; reaffirming our commitment to nurturing the next generation of professionals and supporting young people on their path to a brighter future.
Nicola went on to highlight this latest collaboration with Ingleton Wood, and shared the students’ positive feedback from their session;
“The Switch has collaborated with Ingleton Wood for over 3 years, and they have consistently supported our various initiatives. Their expertise in construction, architecture, and engineering provides a valuable perspective that we often find challenging to represent”.

“The feedback from participating students was overwhelmingly positive—they truly appreciated the time and effort Ingleton Wood employees took to answer their questions and share their experiences. It was a pleasure to collaborate with Ingleton Wood, and their team made organising the event seamless and enjoyable. We look forward to working with them again in the future.”
Thank you to The Switch programme for their incredible work over the past three decades and for allowing us to be part of this inspiring journey!
