On Friday evening, Ingleton Wood competed in a football match against Conrad Consulting Recruitment Consultants at Colchester United's Weston Homes Community Stadium.
It was a hard fought game to which there were some tough tackles and some stunning acts of skill! Ingleton Wood's opening goal was scored by the legendary Jonathan Eddy with a right footed drive from distance, this then opened the flood gates for Andy Marchant and Ben Willett who successfully peppered the opponent’s goal, picking up the majority of Ingleton Wood's goals.
The match was a good test of stamina for the Ingleton Wood team considering our opponents had a number of fresh subs on the bench to help out, whereas we had none, and as you would expect with a recruitment agency they were considerably younger and fitter than us however despite the odds and it being a close game, Ingleton Wood reined triumphant!
