Whether you laced up your boots, cheered from the sidelines, or supported behind the scenes, thank you to everyone who participated in Ingleton Wood's 10th Charity Football Tournament.
Bringing together colleagues, clients, and friends for an afternoon of spirited competition and community spirit, this year’s tournament saw 16 teams from local businesses take to the pitch and raise over £1,800 for St Elizabeth Hospice - bringing our tournament’s total fundraising over the years to more than £13,000!
Thank you to the team at Powerleague for hosting and overseeing a fantastic afternoon of football, and to everyone who helped make the event such a success.
Congratulations to this year's winning team: building contractors ROSE, who emerged victorious from the hotly contested final fixture against Ensors Chartered Accountants.
Liz Baldwin, Corporate and Sponsorship Fundraising Manager at St Elizabeth Hospice, commented on the event:
"We are so very grateful to the team at Ingleton Wood for hosting their 10th Charity Football Tournament in aid of St Elizabeth Hospice. Through their phenomenal fundraising efforts over £13,000 has been raised over the years. Each year it costs around £12 million to deliver all our care services and run the organisation. With just 30% coming in from services commissioned by the NHS it means 70% of our income needs to be provided by fundraising, our shops and other sources of support and your support helps us to achieve this. Thank you".
