Led by Director Marta Holton, Ingleton Wood’s Billericay office is recognised for its expertise in delivering technically complex public sector projects, with a particular strength in healthcare environments where precision, compliance, and operational continuity are critical.
Over the past 12 months, our Billericay-based team has led the delivery of highly specialist healthcare schemes, including two LINAC suites (among the most technically demanding clinical environments in the UK), a new 26-bed ward delivered within a live hospital setting, a major Neonatal Intensive Care Unit extension, a full refurbishment of the Children’s Development Centre, and a new hospital extension to provide an Urgent Treatment Centre. These projects demonstrate our comprehensive expertise and ability to deliver coordinated, compliant design solutions within fully operational healthcare environments.

Alongside our extensive healthcare portfolio, our Billericay team continues to deliver a wide range of public sector projects, including extensions and refurbishment works for education clients such as the Royal Hospital School, where contemporary solutions are being carefully integrated within a sensitive heritage setting.
The team have also completed major schemes within constrained operational environments, including a live airport project, which was recognised through client award nominations for its design quality and functionality.
Additional work has also included RAAC roof replacement programmes, hospital enabling works, feasibility studies for mixed-use developments, social housing projects with local authorities, leisure centre refurbishments, and commercial schemes.
The team are also progressing the design of blue light facilities, including a new fire station located at the Imperial War Museum in Duxford, with construction set to commence later this year.
With a strong and growing pipeline of healthcare and wider public sector work, the Billericay office has strengthened its architectural team, enhancing design quality, technical excellence, and integrated delivery across all stages of work.
This strategic investment supports our continued growth and responds to the increasing technical complexity of projects across both the Billericay office and our practice’s multidisciplinary offering, leading to the appointment of several new senior team members:
