The Walnuts School

The Walnuts School provides special educational needs provision across two sites.  We were commissioned to improve existing hygiene facilities, refurbish classroom wet areas, create a role play space and provide a large store extension connected to the school hall at the site catering for children from 5 to 11 years old.

A major part of the commission also included for the electrical rewiring of the school.

Internal alterations and refurbishment works were carried out within the school in nine different locations.  These, together with the electrical rewiring installations, were undertaken during the school Summer holiday period. 

The hall store extension was constructed within the school courtyard for which access was via school corridors.  The construction detailing of the store was developed utilising components that could be delivered and erected within such a constrained site.

The project was delivered to challenging timescales that were achieved due to an extremely positive and collaborative working approach by the Client, Consultants and the Contractor.

We have received great feedback from the school regarding the project and are currently commissioned to deliver in a further phase of works.
