Trinity Church of England School, Belvedere appointed Ingleton Wood to assist with a funding application to the Education Funding Agency for £3m to construct a new sixth form centre and alleviate overcrowding in the main school site.
The funding application was successful. Ingleton Wood provided a multi-disciplinary service pursuant to the design, procurement and contract administration of the new facility.
The building is a modern twist on the materials seen across the rest of the school site providing contemporary spaces for both teaching and learning and administrative staff.
This new block houses 6 general teaching areas, an ICT suite, 2 media labs, a drama studio, an art room and the school's main board room. Office and ancillary accommodation are also included.
The building features a 20 kWp solar PV installation which contributes towards the power usage of the school and provides a carbon reduction to the site of 8 tonnes.
Darren Palmer, Assistant Head Teacher at Trinity School and the senior member of staff responsible for the project commented as follows:
“From start to finish Ingleton Wood have provided a service of the highest quality. At every single stage of this journey it has been a real partnership where they have provided sound advice and most importantly have listened to us. We believe that this is the start of a long and extremely successful relationship.”
