University of Bedfordshire Main Reception

Ingleton Wood were appointed to provide a complete service to design and project manage the refurbishment of the University’s main reception area, including architectural, surveying and interior design services, as part of a 4-year framework agreement with the University of Bedfordshire.

The project included external signage and upgrading the front elevation and low level cladding with new entrance and canopy.  The reception area was upgraded; circulation routes altered; and new counters and coffee shop installed.  From an uninspiring reception, a vibrant modern facility was achieved to meet the client’s brief.

The project was critically time-reliant during the summer recess period whilst maintaining the University’s operation through what was still a busy period.

The use of natural daylight and colour has provided a bright and cheerful space, which has helped the area to become a hub of University life.
