Billericay office strengthens leadership team with Associate Architect appointment Thursday, 6th October 2022

Our Billericay team has expanded with the appointment of Marta Holton as the office’s lead Architect.

Marta joins as an Associate Architect and will be heading up the Architectural Team, overseeing and managing projects while mentoring colleagues including new recruits and apprentices.

She joins with 17 years of industry experience in a variety of sectors, a Master’s degree in Architecture and Urban Design, and ambitions to grow the Billericay team. In her day-to-day work Marta likes to apply her analytical approach to the project management and design and put emphasis on our sustainability objectives.

Marta said: “Ingleton Wood is a progressive and forward-thinking company with a strong, people-focused ethos that aligns with my own personal values. I was very drawn to the Practice’s investment in their teams and multidisciplinary approach to property design and construction.

“At the Billericay office, we have such a broad range of experience and sectors under one roof. I can collaborate with sustainability advisors, surveyors, and engineers in-house to find the best solution for each client.”

Marta is overseeing and managing projects in the healthcare, education, residential and sports & leisure sectors, applying her nearly two decades of expertise to the nuances of modern construction.

Marta added: “It’s a challenging but also exciting time in architecture. We're working diligently and innovatively to overcome a variety of global challenges alongside building regulation changes, with the implementation of the new Fire Safety Act and a post-pandemic emphasis on open spaces and ventilation.

“Sustainability is another key issue in the industry, and Ingleton Wood is very forward-thinking and highly driven by environmentally-conscious design solutions. The Practice also invests in new technology like Building Information Modelling (BIM), using BIM data in facilities management for future ease of maintenance and possible contributions to the circular economy.

“It’s an exciting time to be an architect, especially in a multidisciplinary practice. I believe in an analytical approach to design, and am looking forward to implementing this with my teams to develop fantastic builds benefit many generations to come.”

Our team now includes 30 architects across Central England, East Anglia, London and the South East.

Paul Cavalier, Partner at Ingleton Wood, said: “Marta has already hit the ground running at Ingleton Wood. She’s got stuck in with complex healthcare projects in London, and her 17 years of experience have already proven to be invaluable to her teams.

“As a growing property and construction consultancy, we are always looking for opportunities to expand our teams and services. Appointing Marta as our Lead Architect at the Billericay office is an exciting step forward that will allow us to provide further insight for our clients across all sectors.”

Ingleton Wood is always looking for new staff to join our specialist teams. For a list of our current vacancies, please see our job opportunities page.
