St Helena Hospice honours Ingleton Wood with Social Value Certificate thanks to commercial cleaning enterprise Tuesday, 5th December 2023

A commercial cleaning enterprise run by Essex-based St Helena Hospice has awarded its first social value certificate to property and construction consultancy Ingleton Wood.

Total Clean Colchester in support of St Helena Hospice offers cleaning services to local businesses at competitive rates with all profits going to the local charity to support people in north-east Essex who face incurable illness and bereavement.

The certificate was presented to recognise the social value that Ingleton Wood is creating through appointing its Colchester office daily commercial cleaning contract to Total Clean Colchester in support of St Helena Hospice.

Ingleton Wood became the enterprise’s first supportive partner in July 2023 in recognition that the agreement would support its own Corporate Social Responsibility goals of supporting local people in need of hospice care.

David Cresswell, Managing Partner at Ingleton Wood, said: “Total Clean Colchester has been absolutely fantastic since taking over our cleaning contract. The offices are spotless and their representatives are a joy to work with.

“The best thing is that we are able to support the superb work of St Helena through the service that Total Clean provides.”

Earlier this year, Ingleton Wood’s annual Charity Golf Day, first held in 2016, raised a record-breaking £8,021 for St Helena Hospice after 120 kind-hearted supporters from long-standing clients and contractors clubbed together for the popular event at Hintlesham Golf Club.

Kevin McGill, general manager of Total Clean Colchester in support of St Helena Hospice, said: “It is a privilege to be providing commercial office cleaning for Ingleton Wood as the Practice has an incredible track record in supporting St Helena Hospice over many years, and has a genuine passion for investing and tracking social value in the local community through its procurement activities.

“To be appointed by Ingleton Wood, knowing they are also committed to investing in St Helena Hospice, is really special for us.

“Year on year, through the provision of daily office cleaning from Total Clean Colchester, Ingleton Wood will be raising vital funds for St Helena Hospice, so it is only right that we recognise their fantastic commitment through awarding this certificate.

“Total Clean Colchester offers a unique opportunity for local organisations to support St Helena to deliver palliative and end of life care and bereavement services to our north east Essex communities, and the social value certificate will be proudly presented to all our clients.”

Total Clean Colchester has ISO 90001, 14001, 145001, CHAS and safe contractor accreditations.
