Ingleton Wood reflects on 2024: a year of success, growth, and milestones Thursday, 19th December 2024

2024 has been an exciting year for Ingleton Wood, and as we reflect on our shared successes and the challenges overcome from the past 12 months, we are immensely proud of our dedicated team’s contributions and the collective impact of our work on clients and communities across the UK.

This year has seen us celebrate the delivery of a huge number of projects across multiple sectors, significant progress on our sustainability offering, and a renewed commitment to workplace wellbeing.

With a strong financial performance, numerous project milestones, and an ambitious team that continues to evolve, we are well-prepared to embrace the opportunities and meet the challenges 2025 presents.

Financial success & expanding impact

This calendar year, Ingleton Wood saw a strong financial performance bolstered by an ever-expanding portfolio of successfully delivered projects.

Always maintaining our high standards of quality and sustainability, our specialist teams have delivered often complex and multifaceted projects with enthusiasm, passion, and dedication. These joint efforts have resulted in successful projects being delivered that make a meaningful difference for our clients and their communities.

Our work this year has spanned a remarkable range of sectors, reflecting our versatility and commitment to delivering tailored solutions.

From preserving heritage treasures and modernising community theatres to designing cutting-edge laboratories and Electric Vehicle Hubs, our expertise extends to both well-known and more niche typologies.

We have supported blue light services and delivered vital upgrades to fire stations, police facilities, and RNLI centres, while also transforming health environments with innovative, future-focused designs.

Additionally, we have implemented sustainable solutions for residential developments and leisure facilities, ensuring impactful and lasting results across a diverse range of sectors.

Our Defence sector work continues to strengthen essential infrastructure throughout the UK and our education sector projects have helped improve learning environments for students and faculty.

Our work has also included specialised projects such as adapting historic landmarks for modern use, transforming rural visitor centres, and optimising social and community spaces in underserved areas.

Whatever the sector or location, our multidisciplinary team has supported projects of all types and scales, blending innovation with tailored care for each unique site and client need.

Major milestones for our Nottingham & Oxford teams

Our Nottingham office celebrated its first anniversary this year, establishing a firm foothold in the region, particularly within the Defence sector.

The Nottingham team continues to expand and develop its expertise, significantly contributing to Ingleton Wood’s expanding reach and enhancing our capabilities as a practice.

Our Oxford office celebrated its fifth birthday this year; half a decade of impactful and meaningful projects that include historic restorations and sustainability-focused heritage developments.

Both teams exemplify Ingleton Wood’s commitment to innovation, excellence, and community collaboration, reinforcing our growth trajectory in diverse sectors and complementing our multidisciplinary approach.

Leading sustainability: appointment of our first Director of Climate Change

In a significant step forward for our practice, we appointed our first Director of Climate Change in 2024; a newly created role that underscores our commitment to achieving net-zero outcomes for clients and projects across the UK.

Our Director of Climate Change provides essential guidance to clients, ensuring projects are sustainable and resilient to future environmental demands.

With this dedicated focus, we are not only broadening our own understanding and expertise, but also driving industry standards for a greener, more climate-conscious approach to project planning and delivery.

Commitment to wellbeing and charitable engagement

Supporting community wellbeing and fostering Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (ED&I) remains at the core of Ingleton Wood.

In 2024, we proudly supported a wide range of charitable causes, raising awareness and funds for organisations that help make a difference.

This dedication extends throughout our own practice, where we prioritise mental, physical, and emotional health among our teams, fostering a workplace culture built on ED&I, support, mutual respect, and understanding.

Our offices have held multiple team-building events throughout the year, creating opportunities for connection, collaboration, and celebrating achievements together.

These events highlight our commitment to an engaged, thriving workforce and underscore the importance we place on a balanced work-life environment.

Recognising excellence and industry awards

Our dedication to quality and innovation was recognised throughout the year, with Ingleton Wood being shortlisted for and winning multiple prestigious industry awards.

These accolades reflect our unwavering commitment to excellence in service and project delivery.

Our award nominations have also extended beyond project delivery, with multiple professionals from across our practice recognised in individual and team awards this year.

Leadership in building safety

Ingleton Wood has taken a proactive role in addressing the evolving issues flowing from the Building Safety Act; guiding, steering, and leading clients through its implications and requirements.

Our team’s expertise in safety regulations continues to enhance our reputation as a trusted industry advisor, and our leadership in this space ensures clients receive comprehensive guidance to meet and exceed compliance standards.

Broadening our expertise & looking ahead to 2025

We have broadened our expertise and scope of work, entering new sectors and strengthening our knowledge in existing ones.

Our team has continued to lead projects that push the boundaries of design, engineering, and sustainability, all while delivering on our promise of quality and innovation.

Confident in another financially successful year ahead, we look forward to supporting clients across diverse industries by delivering impactful, sustainable projects that define the future of the built environment.

As we close out a year of accomplishments, we extend heartfelt thanks to our clients, partners, and team members who made this success possible.

Here’s to a prosperous and inspiring 2025!
